Key Responsibilities:Product Design & Development
- Design and develop new products and components using SolidWorks (2D & 3D).
- Prepare detailed manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop sheet metal components considering manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and design improvements.
- Implement engineering changes and maintain revision control.
Documentation & Technical Records
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), GA drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings.
- Create and maintain Design Change Notes (DCN), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Maintain all NPD-related documentation, including design calculations, specifications, test reports, and approval records.
- Prepare product manuals, technical datasheets, and standard operating documents.
- Ensure proper documentation control and record management as per company procedures.
Material Research & Development
- Conduct research on new raw materials, sheet metal grades, coatings, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate alternative materials for cost reduction, quality improvement, and product enhancement.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for material specifications and technical approvals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies related to sheet metal manufacturing.
- Support material validation and qualification activities.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Sales teams during product development.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing and customer requirement discussions.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design & Fabrication Processes.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks software.
- Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in preparing BOM, ECN/ECR, technical documentation, and product records.
- Good understanding of material properties and manufacturing standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
