A technical support engineer for API integration specializes in enabling seamless data exchange and system interoperability between diverse platforms using APIs. This role combines troubleshooting, client support, and integration development expertise to resolve complex connectivity issues and guide users through best practices for implementing and maintaining API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely technical support for clients and internal users utilizing API integrations and Web product including troubleshooting and resolving functional or connectivity issues.
Design, implement, and optimize scalable API integration solutions with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
Analyze integration requirements, build and deploy RESTful, GraphQL, or event-driven APIs, and support enterprise systems integration.
Assist developers and partners with technical documentation, integration guides, and developer onboarding.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to resolve issues and improve API integration experiences.
Maintain and monitor integration health, providing observability and performance optimization as needed.
Implement security measures for API integrations including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting best practices.
Document support cases, resolutions, and contribute to building a searchable knowledge base.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s OR Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Excellent oral and written communication skill is required.
Proven experience with API development, integration, and support—preferably across REST, GraphQL, SOAP, or event-driven APIs.
Hands on Experience on tools like Postman, swagger or insomnia.
Minimum 2 years of experience in API support.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues quickly, and communicate technical solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
This role is vital for successful, reliable integration of APIs across systems, supporting client and developer adoption while proactively improving integration quality and support procedures.
