Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for construction, civil, mechanical, and architectural projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise schematics and plans.
- Utilize SketchUp, NavisWorks, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to create comprehensive models and visualizations that enhance project understanding.
- Prepare construction documentation, including layouts, sections, elevations, and technical details aligned with project specifications.
- Assist in reviewing design drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Incorporate feedback from team members to refine designs rapidly while maintaining momentum toward project milestones.
- Support the drafting process by creating animations or visual presentations that effectively communicate design intent.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting within construction or engineering environments, with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards across various disciplines.
- Experience creating schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate complex concepts into clear visual formats.
- Knowledge of construction processes and familiarity with building codes enhances your effectiveness in this role.
