A Chiller & AHU Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining HVAC systems such as Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHU), Cooling Towers, Pumps, and Ventilation systems to ensure proper cooling and air quality in buildings, plants, malls, hospitals, or industries.
Main Job Responsibilities:Chiller Operation:
- Start, stop, and monitor chiller machines as per schedule.
- Check chilled water temperature, pressure, and flow.
- Monitor compressor performance, oil level, refrigerant pressure, and load conditions.
- Maintain logbook of running hours and readings.
- Identify abnormal noise, vibration, or leakage.
AHU Operation:
- Operate and monitor AHU units.
- Check supply air temperature, return air temperature, and humidity.
- Clean or replace air filters regularly.
- Inspect belts, blower motors, dampers, and bearings.
- Ensure proper airflow in all areas.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Routine inspection of pumps, valves, pipelines, thermostats, sensors.
- Lubrication of motors, bearings, and moving parts.
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for repairs.
Water System Monitoring:
- Check cooling tower water level and chemical dosing.
- Monitor chilled water and condenser water pumps.
- Ensure no leakage in pipelines and valves.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
- Use PPE while working.
- Report any emergency breakdown immediately.
- Maintain housekeeping in plant room.
Documentation:
- Daily meter reading record.
- Temperature / pressure checklist.
- Maintenance reports.
- Breakdown history records.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC system.
- Understanding of chiller cycle and AHU working.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Reading gauges and instruments.
- Teamwork and shift duty handling.
Pay: ₹9,098.72 - ₹16,000.00 per month
