Summary of the Role:
The Apprenticeship Trainee will assist in routine laboratory activities under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in chemical testing, sample preparation, and quality control processes. This role is designed to provide practical exposure to laboratory operations in a chemical plant environment.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Assist in collecting and preparing samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Perform basic chemical and physical tests under guidance (e.g., pH, density, moisture).
- Support calibration and cleaning of laboratory instruments.
- Maintain proper documentation of test results and observations.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper handling of chemicals.
- Learn and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in inventory management of laboratory consumables.
Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practices and chemical safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
Education / Certification:
- B. Sc./M. Sc. Chemistry, or related field.
- Fresher eligible (Last 2-year pass out eligible).
