Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing & Insurance Executive with 2–5 years of hospital experience to manage patient billing, insurance processing, claims coordination, and revenue cycle activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of hospital billing procedures, insurance policies, and cashless/TPA processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesBilling Operations
- Generate accurate inpatient and outpatient bills.
- Verify patient records, treatment details, and charges before bill finalization.
- Process advance collections, deposits, refunds, and final settlements.
- Ensure timely and error-free billing in accordance with hospital policies.
Insurance & TPA Coordination
- Handle cashless hospitalization approvals and pre-authorizations.
- Coordinate with Insurance Companies and TPAs for claim processing.
- Prepare and submit insurance documents within stipulated timelines.
- Follow up on pending approvals, claim settlements, and rejections.
- Resolve billing and insurance-related queries from patients and attendants.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate billing and insurance records.
- Verify supporting documents for insurance claims.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, insurance guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits and revenue reconciliation activities.
Reporting
- Prepare daily billing and insurance status reports.
- Monitor outstanding claims and follow up for timely closure.
- Coordinate with clinical and finance departments to resolve discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Hospital Billing & Insurance Operations.
- Experience in handling TPAs, cashless claims, reimbursement claims, and insurance documentation.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and MS Office.
