Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Management
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime through effective maintenance planning.
- Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
2. Electrical System Management
- Maintain HT/LT electrical distribution systems.
- Supervise transformers, DG sets, PCC/MCC panels, VFDs, motors, UPS systems, and capacitor banks.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical installations and utilities.
- Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
3. Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise electrical engineers, supervisors, technicians, and electricians.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Conduct electrical safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate electrical incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act requirements and internal safety policies.
5. Spare Parts & Inventory
- Maintain critical electrical spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for procurement of electrical materials.
- Optimize inventory while avoiding stock shortages.
- Verify quality and specifications of purchased electrical items.
6. Documentation
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, inspection reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Maintain electrical drawings, manuals, SOPs, and maintenance history.
7. Project Management
- Participate in installation, commissioning, and expansion projects.
- Coordinate with contractors during new installations and shutdowns.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.
8. Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare annual maintenance budgets.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and control costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising reliability.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Implement TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Reduce breakdown frequency through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
10. Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, HR, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Safety departments.
- Support production teams to achieve plant production targets.
- Coordinate with government authorities, contractors, and external service providers when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Electrical Supervisor License (where applicable).
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing plant.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
