We are seeking a proactive and skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and reliability.
Job Summary
The System Administrator will be responsible for managing the organization's servers, networks, hardware, software, and security systems. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, network management, and IT support.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of IT infrastructure.
- Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Network Management
- Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Ensure network security and implement best practices.
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve system failures, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
Security & Backup
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures.
- Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and firewall configurations.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies.
Cloud & Virtualization
- Manage cloud-based services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Monitor cloud resources and optimize performance.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Generate periodic reports on system health and security status.
Required Skills & QualificationsEducational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Hands-on experience with networking concepts and protocols.
- Knowledge of firewall management and network security.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Good documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Linux+, CCNA, or equivalent.
- Experience working in an IT services company or startup environment.
