Job Summary
KMC Hospital, Anjarakandy is looking for a compassionate and qualified Psychologist to provide psychological assessment, counselling, and support to patients and their families. The candidate will work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patients' emotional and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and basic psychological evaluations.
- Provide individual counselling and psychological support to patients.
- Assist patients in coping with stress, anxiety, emotional difficulties, and other psychological concerns.
- Provide counselling and support to family members when required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and counselling notes.
- Develop appropriate counselling and intervention plans based on patient needs.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in patient-care discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings when required.
- Conduct awareness sessions on mental health and emotional well-being.
- Follow hospital policies, professional ethics, and patient confidentiality standards.
Qualification
- Master's Degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution.

Experience
- 0-1 and Freshers may apply.
- Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, counselling centre, or healthcare setting will be an advantage.
Salary
As per hospital norms and based on qualification and experience.
