About the Role:
Go Gauge Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Executive – Export / Import Pricing to manage freight rate procurement, quotation preparation, and vendor negotiations for ocean and air freight. The role requires strong market knowledge and the ability to deliver competitive, accurate pricing to support the sales team in winning and retaining business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain, negotiate, and maintain competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, and co-loaders for export/import shipments (FCL, LCL, and Air).
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations/costings for the sales team based on customer requirements (origin, destination, cargo type, volume, and Incoterms).
- Maintain and regularly update rate sheets, tariffs, and contract rates for key trade lanes.
- Coordinate with overseas agents/partners to obtain destination charges and buying rates.
- Analyze market trends, freight rate fluctuations, and carrier surcharges (BAF, CAF, PSS, GRI, etc.) to ensure competitive pricing.
- Support the sales/business development team with pricing strategy for tenders, RFQs, and key account negotiations.
- Track and manage vendor contracts, rate validity, and space allocation agreements.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth handover of confirmed bookings.
- Maintain accurate pricing records, rate history, and MIS reports for management review.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and vendor partners to secure preferential rates and space guarantees.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred: Logistics, Shipping, Foreign Trade, or Business Administration).
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in export/import pricing within a freight forwarding or logistics company.
- Strong understanding of ocean freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight pricing structures.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, trade lanes, and international shipping regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers, NVOCCs, and vendor partners.
- Proficient in MS Excel and pricing/ERP tools.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Attributes
- Existing relationships with shipping lines/airlines/co-loaders operating out of Mumbai (JNPT/Nhava Sheva/Sahar Air Cargo).
- Experience handling tenders, RFQs, or key account pricing.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
