We are hiring a Medical Receptionist for a remote position based in Chennai, India, to support a busy U.S. family practice clinic.
**Location:** Chennai, India (Remote)

**Shift (IST):** 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM, Monday to Friday
**Clinic Hours (CDT):** 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
**Type:** Full-Time
**About the Role**
Join our dynamic family practice clinic in Texas, dedicated to compassionate patient care. We are looking for a reliable Medical Receptionist to be the friendly first voice our patients hear. Responsibilities include handling incoming calls through RingCentral and supporting administrative work in e-Clinical Works (eCW).
**What You'll Do**
- Answer and screen patient calls professionally via RingCentral, routing them to doctors, nurses, or billing
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments in eCW
- Verify patient insurance information and eligibility
- Collect and update patient demographics, medical history, and contact details
- Collect payments and support billing by reviewing claims for accuracy
- Handle patient inquiries about services, office hours, directions, and general information
- Manage no-show and cancellation policies, including fee assessments and follow-ups
- Process prescription refill requests and relay them to providers
- Coordinate specialist referrals and obtain necessary authorizations
- Assist with remote check-in/check-out processes
- Handle data entry, electronic filing, and chart preparation during quieter periods
- Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality (training provided)
- Collaborate with RingCentral's AI Receptionist for overflow and automated routing
**What We're Looking For**
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical office certification or relevant experience preferred
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication (additional languages a plus)
- 1+ year of experience as a receptionist or in healthcare customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Comfortable working U.S. clinic hours (night shift in IST)
- Based in Chennai
