Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Machine Fitter in a manufacturing industry. Experience in FMCG, candle, packaging, or process manufacturing will be preferred.
Qualification
- ITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant technical certifications will be an added advantage.
Job Summary
The Machine Fitter will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and smooth functioning of production machinery used in the candle manufacturing process. The candidate should ensure minimum machine downtime and support uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, repair, and maintain production machines and equipment.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Replace worn-out machine parts such as bearings, belts, gears, shafts, and couplings.
- Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and calibration of machines.
- Coordinate with the Production team to minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain daily maintenance logs and service records.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company SOPs.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in the maintenance area.
- Assist in machine modifications and new equipment installation whenever required.
Skills Required
- Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fitting work.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Shift Requirement
- Must be willing to work in rotational shifts (Morning, Afternoon & Night).
- Should be available for overtime or emergency maintenance work whenever required.
