Role Overview
VPB Infratech is seeking an Electrical Draftsman with experience in Electrical EPC projects to support design, execution, and documentation activities. The role involves preparing accurate electrical drawings for LT/HT systems in line with project specifications, site conditions, and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify electrical drawings including:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- Cable routing & tray layouts
- Earthing & lightning protection layouts
- Panel layout drawings (LT, HT, PCC, MCC, APFC)
- Coordinate with project engineers, design team, and site execution teams for drawing inputs and revisions
- Update drawings based on site changes, client comments, and consultant approvals
- Prepare as-built drawings after project execution
- Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and documentation
- Support tender drawings and pre-bid submissions when required
- Ensure compliance with IS standards, project specifications, and safety norms
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Draftsmanship
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Good understanding of Electrical EPC systems (LT & HT)
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs, BOQs, and technical specifications
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Experience in Electrical EPC / Infrastructure companies
- Exposure to:
- Substations, transformers, RMUs, switchgear
- Cable sizing, routing, and termination layouts
- Knowledge of basic site execution practices
- Working knowledge of MS Excel & MS Office
Experience
- 1–4 years of relevant Electrical Drafting experience
