Hindi Teacher (Grades 6–8)

Job Summary
The Hindi Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, language-rich, and competency-based lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Hindi while promoting appreciation for literature, culture, and linguistic diversity in a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver effective L 2 Hindi lessons for Grades 1-3/L2&L3 for Grades 4-7
* Teach grammar, literature, comprehension, and creative writing as per the CBSE curriculum.
* Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and remedial plans.
* Integrate storytelling, poetry recitation, role-play, and creative activities into classroom teaching.
* Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Hindi.
* Encourage discussions, debates, storytelling, and collaborative learning.
Assessment & Evaluation
* Design competency-based assessments aligned with CBSE guidelines.
* Evaluate notebooks, assignments, projects, and examinations on time.
* Maintain accurate academic records and student progress reports.
* Provide constructive feedback and support students requiring additional assistance.
Classroom Management
* Create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
* Maintain discipline through positive classroom management practices.
* Promote inclusive education and cater to diverse learning needs.
Student Development
* Encourage participation in Hindi literary activities such as debates, recitations, essay writing, and cultural programmes.
* Develop appreciation for Hindi literature, culture, and values.
* Mentor students in academic and personal growth.
Parent & School Engagement
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
* Attend PTMs, staff meetings, training programmes, and school events.
* Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi or related field.
* B.Ed. (Mandatory)
* Master’s Degree in Hindi (Preferred).
Experience
* 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
* Experience teaching Grades 6–8 preferred.
Skills Required
* Strong command over Hindi language and literature.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Proficiency in digital teaching tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Smart Boards).
* Ability to create engaging and activity-based lessons.
* Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for student-centered learning and continuous professional development.
