Job Summary
The Hospital Receptionist is responsible for managing the hospital reception and front-office activities, assisting patients and visitors, handling appointments, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth coordination between patients, doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet patients, attendants, and visitors courteously.
- Attend incoming telephone calls and provide appropriate information.
- Register new patients and update patient details accurately.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule doctor appointments.
- Guide patients to the appropriate department, doctor, or service.
- Maintain patient registration, appointment, and enquiry records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments.
- Provide information regarding hospital services, timings, procedures, and facilities.
- Handle patient enquiries and direct complaints to the concerned department.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
- Assist patients with admission, discharge, and billing-related formalities when required.
- Collect and verify necessary documents and information from patients.
- Maintain proper front-office registers and daily reports.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable.
- Follow hospital rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Hospital Administrator or Front Office Manager.

Qualification
Minimum: 12th Pass / Diploma / Any Degree
Experience: 0–2 years in hospital front office or receptionist work preferred.
Working Requirements
- Must report to duty on time.
- Must maintain proper dress code and personal hygiene.
- Must communicate respectfully with patients, attendants, doctors, nurses, and staff.
- Must maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Must follow hospital attendance, leave, and other administrative rules.
Performance Expectations
The Receptionist should ensure professional patient handling, accurate registration, smooth appointment coordination, effective communication, and efficient front-office operations.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
