Day-to-day responsibilities
You will provide administrative and operational support across the journals editorial function, including:
Supporting the effective management of the journals portfolio, including maintaining journal homepages, editorial board information, and adding new content or features
Managing and maintaining gratis subscriptions, including processing related requests
Completing indexing applications and supporting annual activities such as journal Impact Factor releases
Requesting archive quotes to support bids and acquisitions
Tracking and processing editorial payments, ensuring schedules are accurate and up to date
Providing support to the Publishing Assistant team and covering the Editorial Central Inbox as required
Maintaining journals contracts repository and ensuring best practice in data management
Supporting coordination of internal briefings and external meetings
Preparing first drafts of publishing and data reports
Logging and following up on IT (GTSD) support tickets
Working across systems such as JUPITER, S4 HANA, Tableau, Paperstack, and Oxford People to ensure accurate and timely data processing and record-keeping
Managing system access for new starters and troubleshooting access issues
Supporting post-publication corrections, including triaging correction queues and liaising with suppliers to provide confirmed correction text
Supporting journal indexing efforts and working with data teams to resolve coverage gaps
Participating in project work across the Journals Editorial team as required
