Position Overview:
Maxima is seeking a highly motivated Control System Sales Engineer to aggressively sell Honeywell and Schneider Electric control systems to industrial and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in control systems, with a proven track record in sales and a passion for driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and providing technical expertise to ensure successful sales of complex control systems solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and target new business opportunities in industries such as manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, utilities, and building automation.
- Aggressively sell Honeywell and Schneider Electric control systems and solutions to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including engineering managers, plant managers, and procurement teams.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Customer Engagement:
- Engage with clients to understand their specific control system requirements and propose tailored solutions that align with their operational goals.
- Provide technical consultations to customers, explaining the benefits and functionality of Honeywell and Schneider systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product support, etc.) to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation of solutions.
- Sales Proposals & Negotiation:
- Develop detailed sales proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing with customers to secure business and achieve optimal margins.
- Track sales leads, opportunities, and pipelines using CRM tools to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in control systems, automation technologies, and the products offered by Honeywell and Schneider Electric.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, industry demands, and competitive landscape to guide the development of sales strategies.
- Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to network, promote products, and stay informed about emerging trends.
- Collaboration with Engineering & Technical Teams:
- Work closely with the engineering and technical support teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of projects.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during the sales process and after the sale as needed.
- Provide technical training to clients and ensure they understand the operational aspects of the control systems sold.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field. (A technical background is essential)
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in selling control systems, automation solutions, or related technology products.
- Proven track record of successfully selling Honeywell and Schneider Electric products (or similar) is a strong advantage.
- Experience with B2B sales and dealing with industrial or commercial clients in sectors like manufacturing, energy, or building automation.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies.
- Ability to articulate the technical benefits of Honeywell and Schneider Electric control systems to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the latest advancements in industrial automation and control systems.
Sales Skills:
Demonstrated ability to close deals and meet sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
