1. Sales and Inventory Accounting
- Asset Management: Tracking the purchase and sale of printing machinery (high-value inventory) and ensuring accurate asset registration.
- Invoicing: Generating accurate invoices for machinery, spare parts, and servicing.
- Tracking COGS: Calculating the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for machines, including import duties, shipping, and installation costs.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Performing stock takes of spare parts and machinery to reconcile physical stock with accounting records. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
2. Accounts Receivable and Payable
- Customer Collections: Managing receivables for machine sales, which may involve tracking installment payments or large deposits.
- Vendor Payments: Processing payments to international or domestic machinery manufacturers and suppliers.
- LC/Import Document Handling: Managing Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and payments for importing foreign machinery. [1, 2, 3]
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Job Costing: Analyzing the profitability of specific machine sales or service contracts.
- Month-End Closing: Preparing monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- MIS Reporting: Generating Management Information System (MIS) reports to help management monitor sales performance. [1, 2, 3, 4]
4. Taxation and Compliance
- GST/TDS Compliance: Handling GST filings, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Tax Audits: Assisting with internal and external audits. [1, 2]
5. Other Duties
- ERP Management: Using ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) to streamline accounting processes.
- Payroll: Processing payroll for sales, technical, and administrative staff
