About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Health Food Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing nutritious, flavorful, and well-balanced meals while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of healthy cooking practices.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and execute daily meal production as per approved recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
● Develop and innovate healthy recipes aligned with wellness, gut health, and balanced nutrition principles.
● Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and nutritional value across all meals.
● Prepare a variety of healthy food categories including salads, healthy bowls, soups, smoothies, millet-based dishes, protein-rich meals, and gut-friendly recipes.
● Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with company SOPs.
● Monitor inventory levels, minimize food wastage, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
● Coordinate with operations and nutrition teams to improve menus and customer satisfaction.
● Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of meals while maintaining quality standards.
Required Skills & Knowledge
● 1–2 years of experience in health food kitchens, wellness cafés, cloud kitchens, meal subscription businesses, or restaurants.
● Strong understanding of healthy cooking techniques, balanced nutrition, and portion control.
● Knowledge of South Indian, North Indian, Asian, and Continental cuisines.
● Experience in preparing vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
● Ability to create healthier versions of traditional dishes without compromising taste.
● Familiarity with high-protein, low-calorie, diabetic-friendly, weight-management, and wellness-focused meal plans.
● Understanding of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene, inventory management, and wastage control.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working with wellness, fitness, sports nutrition, or gut-health-focused food brands.
● Knowledge of vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and other specialty dietary requirements.
● Basic understanding of nutrition and healthy meal planning.
