Role Summary
The Pharmacy Intern assists licensed pharmacists in providing safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical services. The intern gains practical experience in medication dispensing, inventory management, patient counseling support, and pharmacy operations while complying with regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions.
- Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy under pharmacist supervision.
- Support inventory management, including stock checking, replenishment, and expiry monitoring.
- Help maintain pharmacy records and documentation.
- Participate in medication storage and handling according to regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in patient education and counseling under pharmacist guidance.
- Support procurement and receipt of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy.
- Participate in clinical rounds, drug information services, or medication audits where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
Pay: ₹11,159.90 - ₹18,652.04 per month
