ANM/GNM Staff Nurse – Job Description Hospital: 16-Bedded Multi-Specialty Hospital, Mira Road, Thane Position: ANM / GNM Nurse Reporting to: Nursing Superintendent / Hospital Administrator Job Purpose To provide quality nursing care to patients, assist in clinical procedures, and ensure smooth ward/OPD operations in line with hospital protocols and patient safety standards. Key Responsibilities Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as per doctor's prescription Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2) and maintain patient charts Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries Prepare and maintain patient records, nursing notes, and discharge summaries Provide pre- and post-operative care Ensure infection control practices and maintain ward hygiene Handle emergency situations and basic life support (BLS) when required Coordinate with lab, pharmacy, and other departments for patient care Educate patients and attendants on medication, diet, and post-discharge care Manage inventory of ward consumables and medical supplies Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital SOPs Eligibility Criteria Qualification: ANM / GNM (Diploma in Nursing) from a recognized institute Registration: Valid Nursing Council Registration (State/Central) Experience: Freshers may apply; 1–3 years' hospital experience preferred Skills: Good communication (Hindi/Marathi/English), basic computer knowledge for EMR/records Working Conditions Shift-based duty (rotational, including night shifts) Location: Mira Road, Thane Willing to work in a fast-paced small-hospital environment across wards/OPD/ICU as needed Salary: As per experience and hospital norms (mention range if you'd like it included)
