Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all customer billing accurately through the POS system.
- Collect payments via cash, UPI, cards, and other approved payment methods.
- Ensure every sale is billed before handing over products.
- Maintain 100% accuracy in cash handling and daily cash reconciliation.
- Submit daily sales reports and deposit cash as per company policy.
- Verify opening and closing cash balances every shift.
- Assist customers with billing queries, invoices, and payment-related issues.
- Coordinate with delivery and packing staff to ensure correct order dispatch.
- Maintain records of discounts, refunds, and cancellations with proper approvals.
- Ensure the billing counter is clean, organized, and customer-friendly.
- Report any billing discrepancies, fraud, or technical issues immediately.
- Follow company SOPs, hygiene standards, and customer service guidelines.
- Support the store team during peak hours and maintain smooth store operations.
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of POS billing software.
- Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Excel, email, billing software).
- Honest, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy hours.

- 100% billing accuracy.
- Zero cash shortages or excess cash.
- Timely daily cash reconciliation.

Accountability:
The cashier is fully responsible for:
- Cash received during the shift.
- Accurate billing of every transaction.
- Maintaining proper payment records.
- Reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Protecting company revenue by preventing billing errors or unauthorized transactions.
This role requires integrity, accountability, and a customer-first attitude to ensure smooth store operations and an excellent shopping experience.
