Job Summary
The CNC/VMC/HMC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC, Vertical Machining Center (VMC), and Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. The operator ensures safe machine operation, maintains production targets, and performs routine inspections and basic maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC, VMC, and HMC machines efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Set tool offsets, work offsets, and machine parameters.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
- Use vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- Monitor machine performance and make offset adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Replace cutting tools and report tool wear or machine issues.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep machines clean.
- Record production data, inspection reports, and machine downtime.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
- Achieve daily production and quality targets with minimum rejection.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC/HMC machine operations.
- Understanding of Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Mazatrol controls.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
