Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month
Reporting To: Business Head – Agro Division
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and result-driven Agro Lead to manage the day-to-day operations and business growth of our Agro Division. The role will be responsible for driving sales, procurement, market development, customer relationship management, and operational execution while ensuring achievement of business targets. The Agro Lead will work closely with farmers, distributors, dealers, institutional buyers, and internal teams to strengthen the division's market presence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets for the Agro Division.
- Develop and expand dealer, distributor, retailer, and institutional customer networks across assigned markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, FPOs, traders, aggregators, wholesalers, and key customers.
- Identify new business opportunities, product categories, and geographical markets to expand the Agro business.
- Manage procurement activities by coordinating with suppliers and farmers to ensure timely sourcing of quality products.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth product availability and dispatch.
- Ensure timely execution of customer orders, deliveries, and after-sales support.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer demand to recommend business strategies.
- Coordinate with Finance for collections, payment follow-ups, and credit management.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, product demonstrations, and market awareness initiatives.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on sales, procurement, inventory, and market activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and operational SOPs.
- Support the Business Head in implementing business expansion initiatives and achieving overall profitability goals.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Agro, Agri-Commodity, Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Food Processing, or Building Agri Supply Chain industry.
- Experience in sales, procurement, distribution, or business development within the agriculture sector.
- Strong understanding of agricultural markets, customer requirements, and supply chain operations.
- Experience in handling dealer and distributor networks will be preferred.
