Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated ICU Staff Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients. The ideal candidate must have hands-on ICU experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments while collaborating with doctors and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Continuously monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and neurological status.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, blood products, and critical care treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor ICU equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, and suction machines.
- Assist intensivists and consultants during emergency procedures, intubation, central line insertion, and resuscitation
- Follow strict infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, respiratory therapists, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments for optimal patient care.
- Educate and support patients' families regarding the patient's condition and treatment plan.
- Ensure ICU equipment and emergency crash carts are functional and adequately stocked.
- Perform shift handovers effectively, ensuring continuity of patient care.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing or GNM from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Valid State Nursing Council Registration (Mandatory).
