Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to oversee and implement all health, safety, and environmental practices at the CMRL project site. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, conducting safety trainings, and minimizing workplace hazards and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of all safety procedures and standards at the project site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard identification activities.
- Monitor work permits, PPE usage, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, checklists, and incident records.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and staff.
- Investigate accidents/incidents and submit root cause analysis reports with corrective actions.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and management regarding safety compliance.
- Ensure adherence to CMRL safety guidelines, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, lifting operations, hot work, confined space work, and electrical works.
- Assist during internal/external safety audits and inspections.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and support mock drills at site.
- Ensure housekeeping and safe working conditions across the project area.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any relevant field.
- Mandatory Certification: NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety.
- Knowledge of construction and metro rail safety standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with statutory safety regulations and EHS practices.
Required Skills

- Leadership and team coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Metro Rail / Infrastructure / Construction Projects preferred.
- Prior experience in handling large workforce and contractor safety management will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
