Role description
Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (API Testing - Java, Rest Assured, Selenium, Healthcare FHIR)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API testing using Rest Assured and Java, along with exposure to Selenium. The role focuses on validating healthcare applications and FHIR-based API integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute API automation scripts using Rest Assured
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of REST APIs
- Validate API payloads, headers, authentication, and responses
- Execute end-to-end integration testing across healthcare workflows
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance in healthcare systems
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, and reports
- Identify and track defects using tools like JIRA
- Collaborate with development and integration teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Java + Rest Assured (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in API testing (REST/JSON/XML)
- Basic to good experience in Selenium (for automation framework support/integration)
- Knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, and API validations
- Experience in automation frameworks (TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber)
- Exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins, Git, Maven)
Healthcare / Domain Skills :
- Experience in Healthcare domain
- Strong knowledge of FHIR / HL7 standards
- Experience validating FHIR APIs (JSON payloads, schema validation)
- Understanding of integration and interoperability workflows
