Hiring: Orthopaedic Health Coach / Patient Education Coordinator
Location: The Bone & Joint Clinic, Kandivali, Mumbai
Reporting to: Dr. Saurabh Talekar – Adult Hip & Knee Surgeon
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Orthopaedic Health Coach / Patient Education Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys educating patients, improving their health, and being an integral part of their recovery journey. You will work closely with the orthopaedic surgeon, physiotherapists, and clinic staff to ensure every patient receives exceptional care and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate patients about orthopaedic conditions, treatment options, and recovery.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative counseling sessions.
- Demonstrate and reinforce home exercise programs prescribed by the doctor or physiotherapist.
- Counsel patients on weight management, nutrition, osteoporosis prevention, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Follow up with patients via phone and WhatsApp regarding recovery, medication adherence, and exercise compliance.
- Coordinate investigations, appointments, and surgery preparation.
- Collect patient-reported outcome measures and maintain clinical research data.
- Assist in creating patient education materials, videos, and presentations.
- Organize patient awareness programs, workshops, and community outreach activities.
- Escalate any medical concerns promptly to the treating doctor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
- Master's in Physiotherapy (MPT)
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM
- Occupational Therapist
- Dietitian with an interest in musculoskeletal health
- Any healthcare graduate with excellent communication skills and a passion for patient education
Skills Required
- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi
- Strong interpersonal and counseling skills
- Comfortable using computers, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Organized, empathetic, and proactive
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team
Experience
- Freshers with excellent communication skills are welcome to apply.
- Experience in physiotherapy, patient counseling, rehabilitation, or healthcare education will be an advantage.
Working Hours
Morning Shift: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Evening Shift: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
We are hiring for:
- Full-time
- Part-time (Evening Shift)(Morning Shift)
Salary
- Evening Shift: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (depending on experience)
- Full-time: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (depending on experience)
