Job Title: Gunman (Diesel Yard)

Job Summary
The Gunman – Diesel Yard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the diesel storage area, fuel dispensing operations, vehicles, and personnel within the yard. The role involves armed vigilance, preventing unauthorized access, safeguarding fuel stock, and responding quickly to any security threats or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diesel Yard Security
- Provide armed security at diesel storage and dispensing areas.
- Prevent unauthorized entry into the diesel yard.
- Monitor entry and exit of vehicles, drivers, and staff.
2. Fuel Stock Protection
- Safeguard diesel stock from theft, pilferage, or misuse.
- Ensure only authorized personnel handle fuel dispensing.
- Monitor fuel loading/unloading activities.
3. Access Control
- Verify ID cards, vehicle details, and entry permissions.
- Maintain entry/exit register for vehicles and visitors.
- Restrict access to sensitive zones within the yard.
4. Surveillance & Monitoring
- Keep continuous watch on yard activities and surroundings.
- Identify suspicious behavior or unusual movements.
- Coordinate with CCTV operators (if applicable).
5. Firearm Handling & Safety
- Carry and handle firearms as per legal and company guidelines.
- Ensure safe storage and maintenance of weapons.
- Use firearms strictly in emergency situations.
6. Emergency Response
- Act immediately in case of theft attempts, fire, or safety hazards.
- Support evacuation and emergency procedures.
- Inform management and local authorities when required.
7. Coordination with Operations Team
- Work closely with diesel incharge, drivers, and yard staff.
- Ensure smooth and secure fuel dispensing operations.
- Assist in maintaining discipline within the yard.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily duty logs and incident reports.
- Record any security breaches or irregular activities.
- Report shift updates to the supervisor.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong physical fitness and alertness.
- Knowledge of firearm safety and handling.
- Basic understanding of yard and fuel operations.
- High level of discipline and integrity.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
Qualifications
· Minimum 10th / 12th pass.
· Valid firearm license (mandatory).
· Experience in security services, industrial yards, or transport sector preferred.
