The Senior Lab Technician is responsible for supervising daily laboratory activities, ensuring accurate sample testing, maintaining quality standards, and supporting junior technicians in smooth laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure proper collection, labeling, handling, and processing of samples.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate calibration/service activities.
- Monitor quality control procedures and maintain laboratory standards.
- Verify test reports before submission to concerned departments/doctors.
- Guide and train junior lab technicians and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and NABL/quality protocols.
- Maintain laboratory records, inventory, and reagent stock.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments regarding test requirements.
- Handle emergency and priority samples promptly.
Required Qualifications
- BSc MLT / DMLT or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of laboratory experience.
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment handling.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and report handling experience.
