Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including kebabs, breads, and grilled specialties.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables according to established recipes.
- Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the tandoor section.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage inventory and report stock requirements to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Minimize food waste and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Train and support junior kitchen staff working in the tandoor section.
- Assist in menu development and recipe standardization when required.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is handled and maintained properly.
