Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Application Support Engineer with expertise in Managed File Transfer (MFT) and JIRA/JIRA Service Desk. The ideal candidate should possess strong incident management and documentation skills. While automation and other scripting skills are nice to have, they are not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Managed File Transfer (MFT):

Design, implement, and maintain MFT solutions.

Monitor and troubleshoot MFT processes to ensure data integrity and timely delivery.

Develop and enforce MFT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Ensure security and compliance of all MFT operations.
JIRA and JIRA Service Desk:

Configure and manage JIRA and JIRA Service Desk for project and incident management.

Customize JIRA workflows, fields, screens, and notifications to meet team requirements.

Provide support and training to users on JIRA functionalities and best practices.

Maintain JIRA projects, boards, and filters.
Incident Management:

Handle incident management processes using JIRA Service Desk.

Ensure timely resolution of incidents and proper communication with stakeholders.

Document incident resolutions and create knowledge base articles.
Documentation Skills:

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.

Ensure documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible to team members.

Contribute to the development of user guides and training materials.
Automation and Scripting (Nice to Have):

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.

Assist in developing scripts and automation tools to optimize workflows and processes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Strong expertise in Managed File Transfer (MFT).

Proficient in JIRA and JIRA Service Desk configuration and management.

Excellent incident management and problem-solving skills.

Strong documentation skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.

SCRUM certification is not mandatory but beneficial.

Familiarity with additional project management tools and platforms.
Other Details:
Location: Bangalore, Work from Quadwave Office Only
Working Hours: 7AM to 4PM UK-time (Note that UK time changes during summer.)
