Job Description: Embedded Systems Engineer
Location: Panavally, Alappuzha
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Embedded Systems Engineer to join our R&D team in Panavally. This role focuses on the core development of Vehicle Control Units (VCUs), Electric Steering systems, and customised electronics for innovative R&D projects.
You will be expected to take ownership of the hardware from initial prototyping on development boards to final PCB production and product implementation.
Core Responsibilities
- Firmware Development: Design and develop hardware and firmware based on STM32F446RCT6, STM32 Blue Pill, and PIC16F877A, etc.
- Communication Architecture: Implement and manage robust communication networks using CAN-CANopen (Mandatory), alongside UART, I2C, and MODBUS.
- Hardware Design: Execute complete PCB design cycles, from circuit design and testing to schematic capture and Gerber generation, using Autodesk Eagle.
- System Integration: Integrate and configure HMI solutions (DWIN, WECON, RIVERDI) for user-facing controls.
- R&D Prototyping: Develop customised embedded solutions for specialised research projects and electric mobility applications.
Technical Requirements
- Protocols (Must-Have): High proficiency in CAN and CANopen protocol implementation.
- Microcontrollers: Hands-on experience with STM32 (ARM Cortex-M4/M3) and Microchip PIC series.
- Design Tools: Professional-level competency in Eagle PCB software.
- Peripheral Standards: Solid understanding of UART, I2C, and Industrial MODBUS.
- HMI (Preferred): Familiarity with DWIN, WECON, or RIVERDI display integration is a significant plus.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Graduate in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, or Mechatronics).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in embedded system design and development.
- Skillset: Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware-software interactions and work independently on R&D tasks.
