Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Child Development Department in Varanasi. The ideal candidate will work with infants, children, and adolescents experiencing developmental, physical, sensory, or neurological challenges, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess children with developmental, sensory, physical, and behavioral challenges.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on each child's needs.
- Conduct occupational therapy sessions to improve motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and daily living activities.
- Work closely with pediatricians, psychologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, and special educators.
- Educate and counsel parents regarding home exercise programs and developmental activities.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and therapy documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and rehabilitation planning.
- Ensure a safe, child-friendly, and engaging therapy environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT).
- Valid registration with the appropriate council (if applicable).
- Experience in pediatric or child development therapy preferred.
- Freshers with relevant internship experience may also apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their developmental goals.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of sensory integration therapy.
- Experience in treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Learning Disabilities, and Developmental Delay.
- Strong observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
