The HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing all human resource functions across the organization. The role focuses on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, policy implementation, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, HR operations, training & development, and building a high-performance work culture aligned with the organization's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies for all departments.
- Coordinate manpower planning with department heads.
- Source, screen, interview, and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Manage onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring.
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Maintain complete employee records and HR documentation.
- Handle employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, resignations, and exit formalities.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze employee turnover.
3. Performance Management
- Design and implement the performance appraisal system.
- Monitor employee KPIs and performance reviews.
- Coordinate probation evaluations and annual appraisals.
- Recommend promotions, increments, and development plans.
4. HR Operations
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and SOPs.
- Maintain HRMS and employee database.
- Ensure accurate attendance and leave management.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the Finance department.
5. Employee Engagement
- Organize employee engagement activities.
- Address employee grievances professionally.
- Promote a positive work culture.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys.
6. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs across departments.
- Prepare annual training calendars.
- Coordinate internal and external training programs.
- Track employee development and skill enhancement.
7. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations, including:
- Shops & Establishment Act
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Employee State Insurance (ESIC)
- Professional Tax
- Labour Welfare Fund
- Payment of Wages Act
- Payment of Bonus Act
- Gratuity Act
- Maternity Benefit Act
- Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act
- Contract Labour Act (where applicable)
Coordinate statutory audits and maintain all compliance records.
8. HR Administration
- Manage employee files and confidential records.
- Issue appointment, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and experience letters.
- Prepare HR MIS reports and dashboards.
- Maintain organization charts and employee directories.
9. Policy Development
- Draft and revise HR policies.
- Implement leave, travel, attendance, and disciplinary policies.
- Ensure consistent policy implementation across all locations.
10. HR Analytics & Reporting
Prepare periodic reports on:
- Recruitment status
- Attrition analysis
- Attendance
- Leave utilization
- Training effectiveness
- Employee strength
- HR compliance
- Performance review status
11. Industrial Relations
- Maintain healthy employee relations.
- Resolve workplace conflicts.
- Coordinate disciplinary actions.
- Handle employee counseling.
12. Confidentiality
Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and organizational information.
Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Experience
- 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in real estate, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or diversified business groups.
- Experience handling multi-location HR operations is preferred.
