Incoming Quality Control Inspector
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials and components as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Screw Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Verify material certificates, inspection reports, and supplier documents.
- Identify and record defective or non-conforming materials.
- Prepare inward inspection reports and maintain quality records.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Stores, and Production teams regarding quality issues.
- Segregate and communicate rejected/non-conforming materials to the concerned department.
- Support supplier quality evaluation and follow-up on quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper calibration and handling of measuring instruments.
- Follow company quality procedures and maintain inspection standards.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical or related discipline.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in Incoming/Inward Quality Inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or precision engineering industry.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Screw Gauge, and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and basic quality concepts.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify and handle non-conforming materials.
