Job Title: Project Assistant (Biotechnology/Life Sciences) – DBT-BIRAC Funded Project
Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB), Amity University Noida, invites applications for two Project Assistant positions under a DBT-BIRAC funded research project titled:
“Sustainable Microalgae-Yeast Biorefinery for Enhanced Lutein and Lipid Production Utilizing Coal-Fired Flue Gas CO₂ Through a Waste-to-Wealth Strategy”
Project Scheme:
DBT-BIRAC Joint Call for Proposals on “Carbon Capture and its Utilization” for Fostering High Performance Biomanufacturing under the BioE3 Policy, Government of India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in research activities related to microalgae, yeast, and microbial cultivation.
- Support bioprocess engineering, carbon capture, and biorefinery research.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, data collection, and analysis.
- Maintain laboratory records and assist in project documentation.
- Contribute to scientific reports, presentations, and publications.
Eligibility:
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Biotechnology, Botany, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in microalgae, yeast, or microbial cultivation.
- Knowledge of algal biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, wastewater treatment, or biorefinery.
- Experience in molecular biology, analytical instrumentation, or biochemical characterization.
- Good scientific writing and communication skills.

Full-time, Contract (Project-Based Position)
Duration:
24 months (Initially for one year and extendable based on performance and availability of funds)
Fellowship:
₹20,000 per month (Consolidated)
