Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the University’s annual training and placement strategy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, MNCs, industries, recruiters, and professional organizations.
Lead campus recruitment drives, placement activities, internships, industrial visits, and career fairs.
Identify and onboard new recruiters and expand the University’s corporate network.
Coordinate with academic departments to understand student profiles and placement requirements.
Plan and conduct employability, aptitude, soft-skills, interview, group discussion, and technical training programs.
Guide students regarding career opportunities, internships, higher education, and professional development.
Monitor placement targets, recruiter engagement, student participation, and placement outcomes.
Develop MoUs and strategic partnerships with companies and industry bodies.
Manage the Training & Placement team and allocate responsibilities effectively.
Prepare regular reports, MIS, placement statistics, and presentations for university management.
Organize pre-placement talks, industry interactions, guest lectures, career counselling sessions, and recruitment events.
Ensure professional communication and coordination with recruiters throughout the recruitment process.
Develop innovative initiatives to improve student placement rates and average salary packages.
Represent the University at industry events, career fairs, conferences, and corporate meetings.
Required Qualification
Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM preferred.
Additional professional qualifications or certifications in HR, Training, Career Development, or Management will be an advantage.
Experience
8–12+ years of relevant experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, Recruitment, HR, Business Development, or Career Services.
Prior experience in a university/college or higher-education institution is highly preferred.
Proven experience in establishing corporate connections and achieving placement targets.
Experience in managing a team and coordinating large-scale recruitment drives.
