Senior Power BI Developer
Bangalore | Full-time | 5+ Years Experience
We're hiring a Senior Power BI Developer to own our BI architecture end-to-end — from data modelling and DAX design to executive dashboard delivery. You'll set reporting standards, mentor a small team, and work closely with data engineering to turn complex data into decisions leadership can act on.
What you'll do
- Own BI architecture: data modelling, DAX, Power Query, composite models, incremental refresh
- Design KPI scorecards and executive dashboards for senior leadership
- Define Power BI governance: workspace standards, dataflows, deployment pipelines, RLS/OLS
- Mentor 2–3 junior BI developers; run code reviews
- Partner with data engineers on schema and pipeline design
- Drive adoption of Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and SQL Data Warehouse
- Manage Power BI Service — publishing, refresh schedules, security
- Present BI strategy and insights directly to senior leadership
What you bring
- 5+ years hands-on Power BI development, including enterprise-scale deployments
- Expert-level SQL and strong Azure ecosystem knowledge (Databricks, Synapse, ADF)
- Working knowledge of PySpark/Python for data transformation
- Experience with RLS/OLS and Power BI Premium governance
- Proven track record leading/mentoring a BI team
- Strong stakeholder communication — comfortable presenting to senior management
Nice to have
- Custom Power BI visuals (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Power BI Embedded / REST API integration
- CI/CD for BI (Azure DevOps, XMLA, Tabular Editor)
- Retail analytics or customer loyalty domain experience
Qualifications: B.Tech/B.Sc in CS, Statistics, Math or related field. MBA/BI certification a plus.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
