Location: Tronica City, Ghaziabad, Loni
Company: GGT Foods Private Limited
Experience Required: 4–8 years in food manufacturing / food processing quality management
Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to establish a robust food-quality system at our factory. The person will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required food safety certifications, implementing Quality SOPs, ensuring QC at every stage—from inward materials to finished goods—and maintaining complete quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the factory’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Plan and obtain required food safety and quality certifications such as FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, or other certifications required by customers and markets.
- Create and implement SOPs for:
- Raw-material inward quality inspection
- Packaging-material inward inspection
- Production-stage quality checks
- Finished-goods inspection and release
- Hygiene, sanitation, pest control, and employee practices
- Traceability, batch coding, recalls, and complaint handling
- Non-conformance, rejection, rework, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA)
- Ensure every raw material received is properly sampled, checked, approved, quarantined, or rejected before use.
- Ensure all packaging materials—pouches, cartons, labels, jars, tapes, and other items—are inspected for correct specification, print details, barcode, batch details, food-grade compliance, and damage.
- Establish in-process QC checks for sorting, cleaning, roasting, packing, sealing, weight, metal detection, labelling, and finished-product quality.
- Create product specifications, raw-material specifications, packaging specifications, QC formats, inspection reports, and checklists.
- Maintain complete records of inward QC, production QC, finished-goods QC, test reports, certificates of analysis, and supplier documents.
- Coordinate with purchase, production, warehouse, dispatch, and sales teams to ensure only approved materials and products are used or dispatched.
- Manage quality complaints, investigate root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent repetition.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare the factory for external certification and customer audits.
- Train factory staff on hygiene, food safety, GMP, SOP compliance, quality checks, and documentation.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and help approve or reject suppliers based on quality standards.
- Coordinate with external laboratories for microbiological, chemical, nutritional, pesticide-residue, and other required testing.
- Maintain food safety, traceability, recall readiness, and audit compliance at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Qualification or certification in Quality Management, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or Food Safety Management Systems.
- Minimum 4–8 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing, dry-fruit, snacks, FMCG, bakery, beverage, or food-processing factory.
- Strong practical knowledge of FSSAI requirements, GMP, GHP, HACCP, food safety systems, and audit preparation.
- Experience in creating SOPs, QC formats, specifications, and quality documentation from scratch.
- Ability to work hands-on on the factory floor and enforce quality discipline across teams.
- Strong communication, training, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
- Comfortable using Excel and maintaining systematic quality records.
What We Expect
The Quality Manager should build a system where no raw material, packaging material, or finished product moves forward without proper quality approval and documentation. The role requires ownership, discipline, and the ability to make the factory audit-ready at all times.
