Key Responsibilities
- 1. Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective English lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
2. Student Assessment
- Conduct regular assessments, tests, and evaluations.
- Prepare question papers and evaluate answer scripts.
- Maintain student progress records and report academic performance.
- Provide remedial support to students who require additional assistance.
3. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and interaction.
- Address student learning difficulties effectively.
4. Co-Curricular Activities
- Organize and support activities such as debates, elocution, creative writing, drama, and literary clubs.
- Encourage participation in inter-school competitions and cultural events.
5. Parent Communication
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate student progress and areas of improvement with parents.
6. Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain academic records and documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and workshops.
- Follow CBSE guidelines and school policies.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate / Graduate degree in English.
- B.Ed. (Mandatory as per CBSE norms).
- CTET/KTET qualification preferred where applicable.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching-learning materials.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, grammar, and speaking skills.
- Encourage creative and critical thinking through literature and language activities.
- Complete the syllabus within the prescribed academic schedule.
