Job Purpose
To oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of high-value jewelry stock—from procurement and stone-wise tracking to sales accounting and audit reconciliation—ensuring 100% accuracy in physical stock versus system records.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management & Control
- Stock Inwarding: Accurate tagging (HUID/Barcoding) of new arrivals, ensuring purity, weight (gross/net), and stone carats match the purchase invoices.
- Real-time Tracking: Monitor movement of stock between the vault, display counters, and different store locations.
- Audit & Reconciliation: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock verification (Gold/Diamond/Silver) and reconcile with the ERP system.
2. Purchase & Vendor Accounting
- Procurement Support: Track gold rates and coordinate with bullion dealers/vendors for timely stock replenishment.
- Vendor Payables: Manage vendor ledgers, verify Karigar (artisan) job sheets, and process payments for raw materials and labor (making charges).
3. Financial Accounting & Compliance
- GST & Compliance: Ensure all purchases and sales are GST-compliant; manage HSN codes specific to the jewelry industry.
- COGS Management: Calculate the accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by factoring in metal price fluctuations, stone costs, and labor.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 – 8 years in inventory or accounts management, ideally within structured retail or distribution environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Tally Prime and a high degree of comfort learning specialized ERP systems.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or Finance.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to manage complex spreadsheets and perform detailed reconciliations between physical stock and digital ledgers.
- Integrity & Trust: A proven track record of honesty and reliability, as the role involves managing high-security assets and regular audits.
- Attention to Detail: Extreme precision in documentation; a "perfectionist" mindset when it comes to reconciling numbers and weights.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, floor staff, and management.
Preferable (But Not Mandatory):
- Prior experience in the jewelry industry or luxury retail.
- Familiarity with HUID (Hallmarking Unique ID) protocols and GST compliance for precious metals.
- Understanding of metal weight concepts (Gross weight vs. Net weight vs. Stone weight).
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
