Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Die Punching Machine Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for operating Maxima die-cutting machines to produce high-quality packaging materials. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in the printing and packaging industry, ensuring precision, minimal wastage, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate Maxima die-punching machines for various jobs including cutting, creasing, and embossing.
- Job Setup: Carefully install dies, make-ready (patching), and adjust pressure settings according to the specific requirements of the paper or board.
- Quality Control: Constantly monitor the output to ensure clean cuts, accurate registration, and proper creasing. Troubleshoot issues like "nicking" or blunt dies immediately.
- Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance (oiling, cleaning) and report any mechanical faults to the supervisor.
- Efficiency: Manage production speed to meet daily targets while minimizing paper/board wastage.
- Safety: Strictly follow safety protocols to prevent accidents while handling heavy machinery and sharp dies.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in die-punching.
- Technical Knowledge: Must be proficient in operating Maxima (hand-fed or automatic) machines.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in a printing and packaging unit is mandatory.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of paper/board GSM and grain direction.
- Ability to read job cards and follow technical instructions.
- Keen eye for detail to spot minor defects during the run.
- Education: Minimum ITI or equivalent technical certification (preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates).
