Job description:
The Accounts Assistant supports the finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and timely processing of transactions. The role involves handling invoices, maintaining ledgers, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and on time
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliation
- Prepare and post journals to the general ledger
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Respond to finance-related queries from internal teams and external suppliers
- Support audits by providing required documentation
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Pay: ₹15,671.47 - ₹20,614.90 per month
