Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately as per valid prescriptions and hospital protocols.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Ensure safe storage, handling, and dispensing of medicines, including high-alert and oncology medications.
- Maintain inventory, stock levels, expiry tracking, and proper documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for timely medication management.
- Counsel patients and caregivers regarding medication usage, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with statutory and hospital requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Act, NABH standards, infection control, and medication safety policies.
- Assist in procurement, stock verification, and periodic audits.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Eligibility
- D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council is mandatory.
- Freshers as well as experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a hospital or oncology pharmacy will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and dispensing practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is preferred.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
