Position Summary
DPS Mahendra Hills is seeking a passionate, creative, and dynamic TGT Art & Craft Teacher to foster artistic expression, aesthetic appreciation, and hands-on crafting skills among middle to high school students (Grades 6–10). The ideal candidate should be skilled in modern and traditional art forms, well-versed in the CBSE Visual Arts curriculum, and capable of integrating creative practices into interdisciplinary learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Design and implement an engaging Visual Arts curriculum aligned with CBSE learning outcomes and Art-Integrated Learning (AIL) guidelines.
- Instruction & Skill Development: Teach medium-specific techniques including sketching, watercolor, acrylics, clay modeling, origami, folk art, upcycled craft, and basic digital design.
- School Events & Exhibitions: Plan and execute visual aesthetics for school events, annual functions, stage set designs, bulletin boards, and annual art exhibitions.
- Student Competitions: Mentor and prepare students for intra-school, inter-school, national, and CBSE-level art competitions.
- Classroom & Material Management: Maintain a safe, organized art studio; manage inventory, art supplies, and tools responsibly.
- Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student progress through creative rubrics, portfolios, and constructive feedback, keeping track of individual artistic growth.
Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) / Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) or equivalent degree/diploma in Fine Arts from a recognized university.
Pedagogy: B.Ed. degree is preferred (or as per CBSE norms).
Experience: 3 to 5 years of teaching experience as a TGT Art Teacher in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school.
Technical SkillsExpertise in diverse art mediums, traditional Indian art forms, and familiarity with basic digital art software (Canva, Photoshop, or digital illustration).
