Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹80,000 per month
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Service Engineer (MSE) with hands-on experience in marine automation and instrumentation systems. The candidate will be responsible for onboard servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of various marine systems and equipment onboard vessels and offshore installations.
The ideal candidate should be technically sound, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering high-quality service support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow standardized company procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing onboard vessels.
- Diagnose and resolve reported equipment faults efficiently.
- Maintain a high first-time fix rate.
- Prepare and maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, vessel engineers, and internal teams professionally.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
- Travel and board vessels for service activities as required.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned service jobs.
Technical Expertise Required
The candidate should be able to independently handle the following systems and their make:
Cargo Monitoring System: MITSUI, HANLA, ROSEMOUNT, SAAB
Draft Gauges: HANLA, PANASIA
Boiler: AALBORG, ALFA LAVAL
Fixed Gas Detection System: CONSILIUM
Desired Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities.
- Good understanding of marine automation and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to work independently onboard vessels.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for onboard service assignments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet service timelines.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Marine Engineering (Preferred)
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a Marine Service Engineer / Automation Engineer (Required)

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior marine industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with PSU organizations, shipping companies, or offshore vessels will be an added advantage.
