Job Requirements
Perform Form, Fit, and Functional reviews as per Caterpillar Standards and casting checking practices.
Validate complex Sheet metal & casting designs and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with machining processes.
Interpret and apply GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5M 2009 & 2018) accurately.
Identify errors in drawings, suggest corrections, and mentor detailers.
Collaborate effectively with team members, customers, and suppliers to ensure project success.
Maintain a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, Sheet metal & casting drawings, and heavy machinery products.
Engage in engine OEM and shop floor activities to enhance process understanding and implementation.
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in drawing checking for Caterpillar projects using Creo Tool.
Familiarity with automotive, OEM, or structural industries.
Hands-on experience in Sheet metal, casting, forging, and metal joining techniques.
Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes and Teamcenter proficiency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Practical experience in shop floor processes, including casting and machining.
Background in automotive, heavy machinery, or structural industries is highly recommended.
