A Mother Teacher acts as the Pre Primary educator and caregiver for early childhood or Pre Primary students. They guide the holistic development of young children, blending academic instruction with emotional support. Their role includes classroom management, activity planning, and acting as the main point of contact for parents.
- Academic Instruction: Deliver engaging, play-based and activity-based lessons across core subjects to ensure fundamental conceptual clarity.
- Emotional Support: Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that eases the transition from home to formal schooling.
- Holistic Development: Monitor and assess the social, emotional, and physical milestones of each child.
- Parental Communication: Maintain regular updates with parents regarding their child's progress, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Classroom Management: Oversee classroom discipline using empathy and patience, and help children build independence and good manners.
Typical Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or Early Childhood Education, often requiring Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) or a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Soft Skills: High levels of patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, and a creative approach to teaching
