A Senior Tender Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end bidding and procurement process to secure new business contracts, primarily with government and public sector undertakings (PSUs)
Core Responsibilities
- Tender Identification: Monitor government and private portals (e.g., GeM, CPPP, IREPS) daily to find relevant RFPs, EOIs, and tender notices.
- Bid Preparation: Independently prepare and compile comprehensive technical and financial bid documents, including annexures, declarations, and cost estimations.
- Compliance Management: Review tender specifications (eligibility, financial criteria, scope of work) to ensure the company meets all mandatory requirements and avoid disqualification.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams for technical details and costing, and with external agencies for EMD (Earnest Money Deposit), Bank Guarantees (BG), and certifications.
- Submission & Tracking: Manage timely online and offline submissions; attend pre-bid meetings and tender openings to clarify queries.
- Post-Bid Support: Follow up on bid status, handle post-tender queries, and assist in contract finalisation once awarded. Indeed +9
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Typically 3–7 years of hands-on experience in tendering and bid management.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of the GeM portal, e-procurement sites, and MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills in cost analysis, BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation, and competitor bid evaluation.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication for drafting proposals and negotiating with stakeholders.
